Interalia's Automatic Terminal Information System (ATIS) is used by manned and unmanned airports to transmit information to arriving and departing airplanes. It is ideal for new airport installations, or it can easily integrate into an existing airport facility to replace an old broadcast system.
With the Interalia ATIS there are five different ways to record messages: direct from the ATIS system, remotely over the telephone, by ring-down directly connected to the ATIS unit, using air/ground voice switch integration or via Ethernet. After recording a new message, personnel can preview and re-record the message (if necessary) without interrupting the existing transmission. When they are satisfied with the recording they can send it to the transmitter for broadcast.
Interalia's ATIS solution can either be remotely administered or centrally managed, so it will fit into your current airport structure.
Interalia's ATIS solution is very scaleable and functional: it can be a standalone system, part of a hot standby redundant solution, or integrated with quality text-to-speech functionality.
The ATIS system is transmitter agnostic so it will work with any existing transmitter.
You may choose to use some of the 4 transmitter outputs as monitoring channels to allow control tower staff to listen to the live broadcast.
This ATIS system can have from 8 minutes to 6 hours of recording time, and up to 999 separate messages - enough for even the most demanding ATIS applications.
Messages are continuously broadcasted to the transmitters so pilots can tune into the frequency at any time to get the information they need.
Messages can be joined to play one after another. This is commonly used in airports to broadcast information in two different languages.
You can choose from two ATIS systems to find the one that is right for you. If you want a low-cost, standalone system then the ATIS-MMU is a good fit. Otherwise, if you need a scaleable solution with redundancy and more capability then the ATIS-XMU+ is what you need.
