Solutions - Monitoring - Equipment and Site

Monitoring Equipment and Sites

Protect equipment, staff and facilities.

If your business spends thousands or millions of dollars on expensive mission critical equipment and facilities at remote sites, how do you know if something goes wrong? Will you be able to quickly access the problem before it causes major damage to the environment, your staff or your company's reputation?

Monitors remote or unattended sites:

Monitoring systems act like a security guard for remote or unattended sites. They monitor equipment, buildings or devices for abnormal conditions then notify staff when there is a problem. If the monitoring system detects a problem it dials a preset list of telephone numbers (via a telephone line, mobile phone, 2-way radio, satellite connection or network connection) until a staff member is reached and that person acknowledges the alarm notification. Once a live connection is established the monitoring system reports the alarm condition, which equipment is malfunctioning and the site location. Monitoring systems quickly and effectively alert staff when there is a problem so they can fix it promptly before it causes unsafe conditions or unnecessary damage to equipment , staff and facilities.

1. Monitor equipment, sites and facilities 24/7.

Continuously monitor remote equipment, sites or facilities 7 days-a-week, 24 hours-a-day and receive immediate notification when there is a problem.

2. Monitor variety of alarm conditions.

Monitor alarm conditions via contact closures, voltage, temperature, humidity, water or smoke detection, or any other number of conditions.

3. Alert staff when a problem arises.

The system automatically alerts a staff member when a problem is detected via telephone, mobile phone, 2-way radio, satellite or network connection. Notification can also be made to a desktop, laptop or PDA via email or SMS text message.

4. Remotely manage equipment.

Staff can use the monitoring system to manage  and turn remote equipmennt on/off which may resolve the sitation without the need for technicians to physically go to the site.

5. Remotely control the alarm.

Should Staff decide the alarm is not critical, they can remotely shut the alarm off or reset the equipment as required.

6. Remotely troubleshoot the problem.

Staff can remotely troubleshoot the problem to understand the nature of the malfunction and the corrective action that is required. Should a technician have to visit the site, they will be prepared with the appropriate spare parts to fix the problem, and be able to resolve the issue quicker.

7. Prevent environmentally unsafe conditions.

Fixing potentially serious problems before they become significant issues protects the environment, Staff and your company's reputation.

8. Preventative maintenance is good business.

A monitoring system alerts you when equipment is failing so you can fix it before it stops working and causes damage to other equipment or the facility. Preventative maintenance is also considerably less expensive than dealing with a major event.
